Nourish The Universe

Nourish The Universe  Ya know I’ve been pondering over this whole “healing process” a little more than usual recently and I’ve come to reaffirm that my suffering along with my healing isn’t solely  for me although my personal purpose is attached to it. We all innately long to live a purposeful life whether we’re aware of it or not and most do so because we believe it’ll be personally fulfilling. And oftentimes its the lack of purpose that cause one to meaninglessly drift through life which only leads to more suffering or the circumstances that brings suffering about. And while living a life of purpose is personally fulfilling to an extent, I’ve come to realize that personal fulfillment shouldn’t be the driving force behind my ambition. True fulfillment derives from creating/being apart of something bigger than oneself. Whether it’s a song that becomes apart of society or a cultural celebration, a movie, an organization, school or movement that will leave an impact...

Growing Pains

Growing Pains As I reflect on my life journey and how far I've come/grown, I can honestly bear witness to the testament that "growth is a beautiful thing".......but beauty is pain or at least the process to it is. And not just the the physical pain/aftermath of personal grooming methods for vanity purposes, oftentimes the pain is internal(mental, emotional & even spiritual) especially on the road to finding your own true, eternal beauty rather than simply temporarily manufacturing it. It takes a lot of truth facing, soul searching, self exploring and ugly recognition/acknowledgement before one finally arrives to the beauty of it all. That's because the beauty of it all is the lessons learned, wisdom gained and the growth that has taken place as a result of that process.
