“Light Work(er)”
As
we emerge into this great era of awakening, the spiritual path/soul’s
evolutionary journey has become quite trendy. Everyone or most or at the very
least a lot more than in the past seems to put emphasis on “being the light”,
transcending energies and the manifestation powers of positive thinking or just
our thoughts in general. This is a beautiful emergence for the Universe and its
inhabitants as we all ascend/benefit
from this shift and I encourage/welcome it. Yet I simply want to provide the
reminder & assurance that this road is not by any means smooth and it is in
fact like everything else under the laws of this Universe, work. The most Honorable
Elijah Muhammad stated that “work is the greatest remedy available”,
and I personally couldn’t agree more. But not just work in the sense of
labor for compensation, but work in all aspects (physically,
mentally, emotionally & spiritually). Healing is work, aint no getting
around that. Self-awareness is work. Self-correction/discipline is work, hard
work and you just have to put in the work (to see desired
results). See, I created ActressAmiraAscending to be a
virtual space of peace & serenity but by no means do I intend to portray
the healing process as such. This ultimate journey of self-exploration is work,
hard
work. It’s fighting your lower self for the sake of your higher self.
It’s being your own best friend against the urge to be your own greatest enemy.
It’s having a healthy pride in you and all the while disarming your ego. It’s
being humble (already) yet constantly being “humbled” by life experiences. It’s
being self-sufficient yet succumbing to your human need to reach out to your
fellow man for help. It’s being willing to explore & accept your perceived “dark side” yet constantly choosing to serve/nurture your seed of righteousness.
It’s having faith that everything will be alright all the while knowing that
you are not exempt from the calamities of this thing/experience we call life.
It’s having the courage to put in the work of letting go of who you are in
order to step into you highest self/destiny. It’s work, “light
work” but aint nothing “lightweight” about it, yet it renders you to
shed off “deadweight” making you as light as a feather while you ascend to new heights with the
assistance of its turbulence. It’s weird, uncomfortable, intriguing and
perplexing but it’s worth it. Not only for ourselves but for our observers as
well and it’s the only way we get to “be the light” and consequently
shine.
“Child we
all are moons in the darkest night aint no morning going to come til the time
is right. Can’t get to better days unless you make it through the night.”
