Peace By Piece
Oftentimes
when we’re looking for peace (of mind) we go on a hunt. We
search through music, film, literature, speeches/lectures, therapy,
interpersonal stimulating discussions & even prayer all in attempts to find
a word which will bring us peace (of mind). But as we progress
to yearn for true inner peace on the highest level those
things seem to only scratch the surface providing the illusion of temporary peace
that lasts only for as long as your program of choice. But I’ve come to find
that true peace of mind is obtained piece by piece through moments of peace
and quiet(ness). Only when I quiet my mind am I able to experience true peace
regardless of how fleeting that moment may be/appear to be, it is real, which
means in reality it is eternal, I simply have to remember to remain tuned into
it. See, because as we all know oftentimes our own mind can be our worst and a
lot of the times our only real enemy we have right? Or at least the only enemy who has
any true dominion over us. That’s why the true & hardest work is to work on
the mind, elevating it to the state of the Divine’s intentions/will. And that
comes piece by piece just like peace itself, moment-by-moment, thought
by thought. The mind is extremely & infinitely powerful and when we
fail to recognize its power, that same power is then turned against us. After
all what is lack of peace other than our very own thoughts turned against us which renders
the illusion that our very mind is consequently against us, causing us then to
believe we have absolutely no control of our own thoughts leading to a life of
misery. I mean if that were true then that’s got to be hell but thank the
heavens that its false. Now, I wouldn’t dare proclaim this to be the cure to
all of life’s heartache, pain & trials but it is the best antidote we’ve
got and the prognosis is relative to the damage/damaging experience, but
regardless of how potent the hit of life may be what doesn’t kill you truly
does make you stronger and this experience (human) can use all of the strength
it could get. In fact, it’s going to take all the strength you’ve got but one
day at a time, moment by moment piece by piece.

comes a point when, when we exhale.”
